Here you can find all kinds of information about the FreePascal Compiler. We have many tutorials and howtos as well as a selection of tools to help you with your programming. We also have some example codes for you. And if you want to contribute some information/ sources/ tools yourself you can do so.

FPC für Einsteiger - by Delax

Der Free Pascal Compiler ist sicherlich das beste, was Pascal Programmierern nach Turbo/ Borland Pascal passiert ist. Er ist verfügbar für mehrere Prozessoren, und kann Programme für mehrere Betriebssysteme erstellen. Des weiteren ist er durchgehend 32-bittig, weitesgehend TP/ BP und Delphi kompatibel und völlig kostenlos. Der Grund, weshalb er nicht ebenso bekannt ist, wie seine Vorgänger ist der, daß er (noch) nicht sehr anfängerfreundlich ist. Er besitzt noch keine grafische Oberfläche und wird durch Kommandozeilen gesteuert.

Dennoch ist er der Pascal Compiler der Zukunft. Ich versuche hiermit mal kompletten Neueinsteigern FPC mal näher zu bringen. Wir werden Schritt für Schritt den Compiler installieren und einen externen Editor dann dazu bringen als Compileroberfläche zu dienen. Übrigens richten sich die Artikel vorerst nur an die Programmierer unter Windows. Linuxer sollten eh keine Probleme mit Kommandozeilen-Compilern haben *grins*
