Welcome to the new Friends-of-FPC!

Here you can find all kinds of information about the FreePascal Compiler. We have many tutorials and howtos as well as a selection of tools to help you with your programming. We also have some example codes for you. And if you want to contribute some information/ sources/ tools yourself you can do so.

EditPlus - by Friends-of-FPC

EditPlus is an "Internet Ready Text Editor". It is mainly for writing html and script code, but handles other programming languages as well. ...very well.

Of course simple (and complex) syntax hightlighting is not a problem. You want to add special keywords like OpenGL extensions? No problem either.

It's easy to use external Tools (as FPC) with EditPlus. Nearly everything can be build into a macro to make compiling easy. Plus, you can define projects and handle multiple .PP Files or includes and about everything one might ever need.

Nice feature: EditPlus is capturing the output from FPC and shows it directly on screen. No need to open a DOS Box!

So where is the catch? Hmm...EditPlus is not Freeware. A single User license costs 30$. Though the downloadable trial version has all features and still works after the 30 days of allowed use, you should register it if you use it on regular basis.
